Terry Tautolo (born February 22, 1959) is a former American football linebacker who played for the San Francisco 49ers and the Green Bay Packers. He played college football at UCLA and was selected by the 49ers in the second round of the 1981 NFL Draft.
Tautolo was known for his hard-hitting style on the field and played for the 49ers during their Super Bowl-winning season in 1984. However, he struggled with substance abuse and depression after retiring from football and has been open about his battles with addiction and mental health issues.
In recent years, Tautolo has become an advocate for concussion awareness and brain health among football players. He has also been involved in programs aimed at helping former players cope with the physical and emotional challenges of life after football.
